Features

Everything cmsspot does

A real CMS on top of files you already have. No migration, no rebuild, nothing installed on the site.

Editing

Automatic fieldsHeadings, paragraphs, images, links and buttons become fields on their own. Nothing to mark up first.
Surgical savesOnly the field you changed is written back. The rest of the file stays byte for byte, PHP included.
Rich text that stays cleanBold, italic, links and lists. Pasted content is cleaned, so Word formatting and scripts never reach the page.
Images with alt textReplace an image, write its alt text, and it is uploaded to the site's own folder.
Preview & editSee the real page with your design and click into the text where it sits.
Undo and backupsEvery save is backed up first. Restore the last version in one click.
Conflict checkIf the file changed on the server since you opened it, cmsspot tells you instead of overwriting.
Code tabThe whole file as code for the developer who wants it, with a syntax check before it goes live.
New pages and articlesCreated from the site's own template, ready to fill in, in the folder you chose.

Structure

GlobalsMark a phone number, address or tagline as global and change it everywhere in one save.
GroupsRepeated blocks such as team members, services or cases become a list you can add to, reorder and remove from.
Menu tabThe navigation as a list of links: add, rename, change the target, remove. Written back into the header.
Header and footer tabsShared areas edited in one place, never hunted down inside a page.
Your own tabsA tab per folder: Pages and Articles by default, Team, Cases or anything else you add. A single file such as index.php can be a tab too.
FavouritesStar the pages you use most, and they sit at the top of the list.

SEO and AI

Title and description with feedbackLength counters in colour, a search result preview, and the full title counted the way Google shows it.
Show SEO in the listEvery page's title, description and schema in the page list, so you see what needs work without opening anything.
Schema (JSON-LD)Checked as you type, with the types shown. Invalid schema is never saved.
SitemapBuilt from your pages and articles whenever you ask.
Clean URLs and redirectsEdit .htaccess in the Technical tab. A backup is taken first, and the editor warns that a mistake can take the site down. Redirects as rules, not a table yet.
AI access (MCP)Connect Claude or another assistant to one site with a token at one of three levels. Hide any file you want. Revoke any time.

Site and team

Several sites, one loginSwitch between sites in the top bar. Each site is kept apart from the others.
Team accessInvite a colleague or a client to one site. They log in with a link, no password.
Cookie bannerScans the site for trackers, adds a consent banner, and follows Google Consent Mode.
Technical filesEdit robots.txt, sitemap.xml and .htaccess directly, with a backup before every save.
StyleYour stylesheet, editable in the same tool.
Malware warningEvery sync looks for signs that the site has been tampered with and tells you.

Connection and safety

Nothing on your sitecmsspot is never installed on the site. Pages load exactly as you built them.

Security logFailed logins, rejected tokens and changes to access, visible to the administrator.
Login by linkA link sent to your email, used once, expired quickly. No password to lose.
Backups per siteBefore every write, kept per site.

Missing something?

The list grows. We build cmsspot for our own clients first, so the features come from real sites and real requests. If you need something that is not here, write to us and say what you would use it for. Agencies that need a feature built for their way of working can also look at Enterprise.
